Bright Deep Flashing Blue and Gold Face of this Excellent Polished Labradorite Standing Freeform Display Piece. 0.84kg. 124-97-48mm. A Grade. Tulear, Madagascar
Mostly gold with some green and blue flash! Labradorite is an exceptional rock renowned for its chatoyancy in colours which range from blue, yellow, pink, purple and sometimes red. The blue is most common with other colours being substantially less common. The material is exceptionally difficult to polish to exposure the chatoyancy, this alone is a rare skill, with only a very small percentage of worked material yielding positive results. We exclusively select each piece for top quality chatoyancy but form and shape also play a major role.
